The Legratron Electronics Tracking solution is about taking the power back from criminals.
Legratron Electronics came to be when three university friends, two engineers, Itumeleng Matshego and Tebogo Phashake and an IT specialist Teboho Makgathi, joined forces to develop a unique, real-time tracking solution. By that stage in South Africa, however, the market was heavily saturated with tracking solutions, primarily focused on tracking vehicles.
Yet, the three friends saw there was still a huge gap in the market. They built and designed their own hardware and software, making the business 100% South African. Theft of vehicles was not the only crime plaguing South Africa. Theft of cellphones, laptops and SmartTVs are some of the most common crimes committed in the country every day.
While these items are often insured, their replacement still adds strain on the individual’s pocket or unnecessary costs to the operation of your business. Often, when items like laptops go missing, it is the loss of the information contained on that laptop that can be devastating. Instead Legratron wants to provide consumers with the option to track and recover the laptop, saving money, time and the needless stress of losing irreplaceable intellectual data.
SPECIALIST TRACKING SOLUTIONS
Many businesses struggle with the theft of assets or property that do not have as high a value as a vehicle but which can have just as damaging consequences. However, over time and on the scale this loss occurs, it has the power to significantly impact profits. Consequently, the Legratron Electronics team put their minds together to develop a tracking solution that can be extended to many more people and industries. Now the traditional functions of telematics can be used to find your cellphones, laptops, SmartTVs, trailers, heavy equipment, generators, other large equipment essential to your businesses and anything else of significance or monetary value.
TAKING BACK THE POWER
The Legratron Electronics Tracking solution is about taking the power back from criminals. South Africans often begrudgingly accept theft as part of life and have little hope of ever finding their valuables or the people who stole them. Now, there is an option available that allows you to fight back but without endangering yourself. Once your item has been tracked, Participated in the SAB Foundation Tholoana Programme with Fetola. Over two years high-potential businesses are provided with practical workshops, personal mentoring, e-Learning, costing and pricing guidance and finance, human resource and brand development. We understand that a tracking solution is only useful with the right recovery methods.
The development of Legratron Electronics’ hardware and software was also done by trying to see into the mind of the criminal in South Africa. Our criminal networks are more advanced than what many people realise. Criminals often know much more about tracking and recovery than we would like them to know. Thus, our product is developed with full cognisance of this, adding a double armour against criminals.
Legratron Electronics’ roots ensure all clients receive the same high-level priority. Whether it is a customised solution for your specific needs or one-on-one interaction with the team, we aim to meet expectations. Our experience in the tracking industry means we know that theft or loss of assets is more than just a nuisance but can have massive monetary setbacks for both the individual and companies.
